It's a penny, silly!

You didn't show us the obverse, but I assume it's a portrait of the Queen. Most likely it's a British 1 cent coin.

bishftl - that is a penny from the UK! They are a little larger than US cents, so they do not typically show up in US cent rolls. Nice find! What year is it?

Guess what I found tonight? I knew what it was before I pulled it out of the roll. The coins got stuck about halfway through. I've found a good half dozen or so. Nice coin.

So thanks to rachums, I got two east coast boxes of cents sent to me in so cal. The results are night and day compared to what I normally pull. Here's box #1:

678 coppers, plus:
14 wheats
68 canadian

Wheats:
34
41
45
47 x2
51
52d
53
54d
56
56d
57
57d
58

Too many canadians to list but the oldest from this box was from 1953
I had a blast checking all the cam/wam years, no luck, but at least I had coins to check, as opposed to the 2 or 3 I normally get from my local boxes.

Box 2:
689 coppers, plus:
13 wheats
61 canadians

Wheats:
19
19s
24
40
45
46 x2
53d x2
55
55d x2
58d

Canadians, oldest was 1941

These numbers blow my typical west coast numbers out of the water, I think my highest copper count was 550 for a california box, with 400 about average. And about 2-4 canadians, and maybe 5-10 wheats. If any of you west coasters ever have the opportunity to get some east coast cents, I highly recommend it.

Nice finds man! I only wish I had searched that box now! I would love to find some of those wheats! Yeah, that number of wheats is below average for me. Anyone else want boxes? No gaurauntees of course.
There also tends to be a ton of canadians. So far my oldest is 1941

Wells Fargo box of CWR and nothing great. Even the copper count was low.

18% copper
10 Wheats - all 50's
1 Canadian
Loads of S mints but those are abundant here in CA.

Where are you guys buying east coast boxes?

I had rachums get me a couple of boxes. Two boxes fits perfectly in a medium flat rate priority box. (so do 2 boxes of nickels, by the way)
