My daughter and I found a 1916 d and a 1926 in a box this weekend. The 16d was a hole filler.

I picked up my first box of cents in a few months ... I've been on a nickels-and-quarters streak for a while, but decided to start culling wheats again. I'm eleven rolls in and found a 1939 Canadian penny. Oldest one I've found yet!

I finnaly broke down and bought penny folders for 1909-2013 and I have spent the past 4 hours searching and pushing. my fingers hurt and I still have 40+ LBS of copper to search for just 7 open spots and little over 7 LBS of of zinc to fill 9 open slots

Not a roll find either - but I received a crusty 1919 in change today at Dunkin Donuts! The lady behind the counter must have thought I was nuts for staring at a penny for 20 seconds and smiling!

So I got a box and it was not very fun. The rolls were mostly 2011 d but they had other dates mixed in so I couldn't sell the rolls. most of them looked like this:

I've searched through 132 boxes total from dimes, nickels, and cents, and I have always either had N.F. string and son rolls or the plastic shrink wrap rolls. This is the first time I have ever had rolls that look like this:

Anyways, I walked out with 1 wheat, a 1956. Also 1 s mint, a 1970 s. and 61 coppers.

my coppers:

Now here are the rest of the cents. most were 2011 d, and the few that were mixed in were different dates:

I kinda just took pictures to make this box as interesting as I could, since it was the most boring box ever. lol. luckily I have 50 CWR waiting to be searched :)

murrellington, I've never seen paper wrapped rolls like those you had either... was there any company name on the box? Could they have just been wrapped by your bank?

Yeah, it does sound like you had a boring box there... but you know, you gotta go through those type of boxes to get to the good ones! Hang in there... you'll have better luck with the next one!

I guess I deserve that box since my last one had an indian. And my guess is that the bank wrapped them.

murrellington, that is indeed an odd box. And congrats on your first IHC find from an earlier box!

I finally found a 1972 DDO, not sure which one, but it has PMD.
