@Yinzi50: Congrats on the first one! I have about $1 of pennies set aside that are the right mint mark and year for WAMs (maybe a few CAMs too) that I haven't gone through yet. We shall see.

I just finished my first box of pennies after a lengthy break on them. Nothing earth-shattering, but it was fun nonetheless. I found four high grade MS coins from the 70's, and three gems from the 60's. Out of the ten Canadian cents I found, four were from the 60's.
Wheat: 21 (oldest was 1919)
Canada: 10
I did not count them out, but there is probably about $5 in copper. 'Til next time!

This is my box totals: 4.5Lb's of copper cents Canadian: 2005 1955 1944 9 2009 cents 3 Worn die 2 Toned Wheaties: 1958 1957-D 1956-D 1955X2 1955-D 1954-D X2 1952-D X2 1947 1946 X3 1946-D 1945-S 1944 1942 1939 1935 X3 1926 1925 And to address the previous questions about the value of the worn die coins. I keep a lot of coins and sell a lot on ebay as well. For a normal Mis Aligned die cent I get $0.50- $1.00 each which may not seem like a lot but percent value that is huge. The minor worn die coins are worth around $0.05-$0.10. Greased die coins that are decent can be a few dollars each. |
