those enders look like the box will produce. let us know for sure. I havnt seen that many enders in a while. 50 wheats? I dont suppose you can wait that long to search a box like that. :-) edit, thanks for posting the reverse of that IHC, she is a beaut.  Edited by skibdib

Mr. Click, that IHC is an INCREDIBLE find! It's almost guaranteed that Indian Heads found in rolls are either slicks, culls, or both. My only IHC is in Good details, yours could reach problem-free Extremely Fine. |

I at one time had 2 and a half 5 gal water jugs full of copper pennies. Silver went down to $20/oz. I took it in to the bank and exchanged it and bought silver eagles with it. (About 4 trips to the bank) I will make more of a profit with the silver than all those HEAVY HEAVY copper coins!! Plus that silver is a whole lot less weight!  Edited by Mr Click

I thought about it a little, and decided against it, mainly because with the amount of space that copper takes up relative to silver or gold. I've even given some thought to selling off some of my 90% silver and buying gold coins with it to free up room in the safe.
But I like old silver coins, and on occasion I'll get them out and look at them. I bought quite a bit of the 90's when silver was $4.50 an ounce.

since I am going through them looking for other coins, I pull out all coppers and sell them 50,000 at a time or 100000 at a time
then buy other coins or silver with my profit. figure I am already looking through them.

@coincbass, How much do you sell them for and where do you get a buyer for that many? I picked up 2 boxes of cents on the way home tonight. Got about 30 wheats. Notables: (2) 1928, 1928s ...(hole filler)  , a 1925, and a 1936. I love getting 30's and below. I love "s" mints even more  400 posts!! Yeah baby!! |

just finished up a box a cents and ended up with 30 wheats thats a new high for me. Also on top of that I got 6 hole fillers! a lot of them coming in the 1909-1940 folder. The hole filers I got were 1913 1924 1925 1926 1936 1949.

Thanks, it's my first 1909 vdb found coin roll hunting. It would have been a hole filler but I didn't think I would find one so I bought one off ebay a couple weeks ago. Still working on completing the set. I've had good luck with wheat cents here in Canada. I never did post my favourite Lincoln Cent find in this thread so here it is:   Much better in my collection than being melted down in the Alloy Recovery Program.  |
