SD, where are you dumping yours? I'll have to pick them up. I wouldn't mind searching those searched rolls if you're seeding them with WAMs.

SDcoinguy, I keep every 68-s I find. As BadThad mentioned, it's the lowest mintage of all the memorial cents. 1998, 1999, and 2000 WAMs can be quite valuable...hang onto 'em when you find them.

This is my favorite 68s. It's off center with the top of WE and TRUST cut off. I pulled this one about 2 weeks ago.

Quote: Maybe this has been before, but I am still pretty new here, I just wanted to ask Thad HOW MANY rolls you are busting a week? LOL. Every time I click on the site, it seems like you have pulled the best finds. How about if you ever make it through WV, you contact me and we go get us some lottery tickets? LOL!
I'm working on a friends huge coin hoard he amassed over 25 years. He has no interest in collecting, so I can keep what I want in return for disposing of the hoard. I've been on a pace of about 500 coins a night or so....maybe 1000-1500 on a good night. I work very quickly! There's only certain coins I look for and I have a great speed system.

Quote: 68-s? I've been chuckin those back.. but your saying I should keep them? also, I've been finding WAMS.. chucking those too.. lol.. O WELL....
Why are chucking the lowest mintage Memorial cent? For me, they are a rare find. I'm positive I've found less than 10 out of the million coins I've searched. A 98 or 2000 WAM even in horrible condition is worth at least a buck! A 99 WAM is worth substantially more.

Quote:I found this Cud about 30 minutes ago... Well, you lucky dog! I've NEVER found a Cud yet. I've found two 1999 WAM's, a 72 DDO-8, a clip, an off-center, a few MAD's with missing design elements...... but still no Cud. So.....don't complain! LOL

BadThad, you'll notice that I stopped complaining shortly after finding that Cud. All kidding aside, I'm guessing that I find at least 4 1968-S memorials inside every box I search out here. I'm about a 3 1/2 hour drive from San Francisco...which probably explains why.

ok so WAM's... I looked at a few of my coins and I found a few more WAMs but they are not 1999 or 2000... I have one that is zinc, 1982 Lrg Date and 1989-D.. to confirm, there are more than just 1999 and 2000 WAM's?

Just to keep Thad from running away with the title of best "finder", these all came from one box I finished last night. Coin in the left is from Barbados (1984) and the Canadian cent is a 1943. Both are the oldest dates from these nations I have found in rolls. This makes #6. Certainly the first one of these I have found. Fields are like mirrors, the scope just does not let it show. And: Another 1972-P DDO. I have not checked it's attribution but my guess it is #8. Oh, it had 18 Wheats in the box to. Goes without saying, one of my best boxes ever. Jim
