Well , mystery year solved for me - I was able to rub a slight bit of patina off with thumb and now know the last digit on my wheatie . Also uncovered a Denver mint mark ; amazed by how thick the patina is on coin . Here it is again. Sorry posting so much ; I'll try to limit to something great from now on . Signing out..

Still a great find, despite its condition.

Hoping this is more than a gas bubble next to date . Anyone recommend a book for identifying errors ? Was thinking of getting the short list by coppercoin user not sure if I spelled correctly . Was only $3.50 I think - can't beat that . And now this coin - looks like another digit . I can't figure why it's there.

Just a Zinc Rot bubble, not an error. It's only worth face value. I'll recommend a website, where you can read and learn about real error coins for free. http://www.error-ref.com.

Did a box on cents last night and I think I broke my wheatie record. 61 Wheats in just one box. They were all just 1950s D mint ones, but still a lot for one box.

Grabbed $10 worth Wednesday and finishing up on my coppers today . Had 4 wheats,3 Canada cents , 10 nice 2017-p's, & a few 2009's. I'm a bit curious about 46' wheat With sunken circle on neck and this 1974-d ; it has shadowing inside the 4 and left side of lower line of 4.
