No need to sticky when this topic keeps getting bumped. I came really close to photographing my NZ/OZ coins this weekend. It is a tough sell since I would have to re-holder them (I am not going to photo them in their 2x2). Maybe for the Second Edition.

Thanks PrinceTane, Very much appreciated.
My collection is in the link to my gallery below. So easy to see what I have or don't have.

Actually I can't see anything in the Gallery part at all. So have no idea. I am always pointing that out when JBuck links an image and I can't see it.

Yeah, it took me over two minutes to create my reply. I had to check if triggersmob was posting in this topic from the gallery or uploads (it is from uploads).

I can't see anyone's gallery on that site at all, says I need an account and all that jazz. I belong to enough boards and things already, too many passwords to remember.

Welcome to 1951, my comments for NZ in 1952 largely apply here. All denominations were issued in 1951 and I have been lucky to get EF/AU examples for most. The quality of coins will get more patchy before 1951. I will still have EF examples but also some going down to VG for some coins. The Halfcrown is the best at AU and Halfpenny not far behind at gEF, Shilling is EF and the Penny and 3d almost so, the others are VF, the Florin being the worst (1947 - 1951 Florins are notoriously hard to find in conditions abpve VF and many are gVG/Fine). Mintage numbers of all coins were generous, but slightly below numbers of the boom years of 1947 and 1948. 1950 was a big year too and 1949 a bit lower. Here is a close up of that juicy AU halfcrown 1951 Halfcrowns are generally found in VF condition as they were only released into circulation in 1963 and used for just 2 years. This one is better still!

Australia in 1951 had 2 Florins, the Federation one as 1951 was 50 years since Federation (Remember we had the 100 year one back in 2001 with all the 20c and 50c coins and dollars). Well in 1951 we had just one coin to celebrate it! Uncirculated example just for you (Well it could be the highest of the AU, but I am confident here this is the real deal!) Here it is with a Penny and Halfpenny. Average condition of copper is the high Fines to low VF's The smaller silver coins had the standard mintage and PL for London mintages as a one off due to a strike at the mint. In both cases the PL coins are more common than the standard (Melbourne) coins. PL coins on right. PL is under the shield ribbon on 6d and in the flat part of the ribbons on the 3d.

Jbuck, I use to copy and paste the link from the gallery, but it stopped working for me. All I saw was a small box on my post. I could right click on it and open in another page, but that seemed pointless. I might try it here again... I'm only seeing a box still, what does everyone else see? Steve :)

The gallery site is not secure (uses HTTP not HTTPS) and many people are not able to view pages with mixed content (that is, HTTPS CCF topic pages showing HTTP image content). I was sure this was a browser problem since there are ways for Chrome, Firefox, etc to (un)block it, but now I think some of the ISPs are starting to restrict HTTP traffic. Nothing we can do. There are no plans to upgrade the CCF Gallery site to HTTPS. I will do as you do, upload my images to CCF forum server as needed.
