I obtained this coin some years ago with a batch of other misc coins. From what I can tell, it may be real, but would like advice. It weighs 26.64 grams, appox 38mm. I included 2 edge views, one typical of most of the coin, and one with a spot of extra metal on the rim. This occurs on the observe right at the top of his head, so maybe metal added to support a bezel or some sort of holder? Also, I know somewhat about chop marks, but do these mean the coin was accepted by that merchant or rejected?

So the coin should be silver, if it is it will have a nice low sound when doing the 'ping test', simply balance it on your finger, and 'ping' the edge with another coin. If able, compare the sound to a genuine silver coin you have, they should sound similar, if not the same.
