Hi all, Just checking to see if I got my research correct on this coin. Also I rarely come across ancient/roman coins so any help with condition/grading/value is appreciated.

I believe it's a Divus Augustus struck under Tiberius AD 22-30 by the Rome mint, it weighs 10.9 grams and the diameter is approx. 28mm from left to right on the obverse. the photos lighten the coin up and exaggerate the verdigris. in hand its more of a nice chocolate brown color.

Yes that is correct:

Octavian as Divus Augustus. As 22/23-30 DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER,
Rev. S - C Altar; in exergue, PROVIDENT. C 228.

A sought after coin but also a lot of these sell as a lot are out there. So searching past sales on ebay is easy for Augustus Provident etc. If you sold the coin on a static price platform and were willing to wait for a buyer you could get $75. (Great ones well centered do go $150 and above of course. And worn ones go more like $15.) In an open auction condition of these is everything. Here are two open auction results from the same dealer. Notice the difference condition made:
