This is probably just damage but I thought it was interesting. It looks like a pit but with some fresh copper poking up in the middle. Could it be damage over the top of a strike through? Thanks

PMD of some sort. Kinda looks like some goo with stuff stuck in it that is stuck on the coin?

I agree with John1.
It's a little hard to tell if the area is raised or incuse. All that would tell us though is how the damage may have occurred. And most of the time a good image of the reverse can add more info to the story.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

That spot on obverse at 11:00 looks like a bad case corrosion . The rest of the coin suffered a lot of wear and abuse . Can we please see the reverse ?

I take it that area is raised above the coin's surface?

It is hard to tell from the pictures. sorry, it is the best I can do. The dark corroded area is slightly incuse, but the very center area of the incused area is not corroded and is slightly raised. It almost looks like there was a Cud, and then most of the Cud was corroded away, except the very center of it. here is a picture of the reverse
