This 1945 LWC sure likes like two eyeballs trying to get in there. I doubt doubling based on the distance apart. Nothing listed I can find. I suspect a well placed die crack. Any thoughts?

That would be a lot of spread. And almost certainly a known variety I would think.

Unless it is a first, I say no double eyelid. However, not PMD. So it must be some type of strike error. The question is, what? Contour across the area is what bugs me. This IS a raised area a in die break/crack, with strange conture. Your thoughts and expertise are anxiously awaited. UFO?

This is just damage. Didnt happen during the strike. Its PMD

I don't mean to be argumentative, but I don't understand why it cannot be post mint? This coin did not leave the mint looking like this, so it is, simply, in my opinion, post mint damage.
