Ive been going through thousands of penny and came across this unusual 1983 penny. I wasnt able to find anything like it online or with any other 1983s. Lincoln looks off but if you see he has "comb over" look about his hair also the "We" seems off at top. Could anyone give insight on what type of error this may be and perhaps how this happens during the coin making process. Thank you for your time #happycoining

to the forum. Unless I'm missing something, it just looks like PMD to me.

Looks like someone ran over it with a Buick most likely. Looks like right rear tire damage.

To CCF , Yes when a Lincoln Memorial cent starts looking like this coin It's more than likely post mint damage .
