I am very much afraid I am in agreement with "iulius"
Without looking at your link I notice things that do not sit right
It is becoming very difficult to separate out the fakes
Just in the last few hours I saw a warning about a Hostilianus aureus currently being offered by a well known (reliable) German seller on ebay
Current bid is over 3,000€ !
It is a documented fake
Im afraid I am losing heart
The constant barrage of these is seriously wearing me down and the prices I now see at auction are absurd
I may just hang it up and invest in Bitcoin

For me, the jury is still out.
negative: Reverse style looks a bit 'spindly'.
positive: The localized corrosion under Nerva's nose would be hard to reproduce like this.

What is the weight?
Provenance?
Would like to see a few pictures of the edge.

Besides the 'look' of the patina, what other red flags does this piece have?

Yes the "look" of the patina didn't look right to me
Since no one here had mentioned it I am guessing someone else is also suspicious
The eye was what caught my attention first
The Bulgarian fakes generally have a very peculiar look about the eye
The reverse too seems "primitive" for lack of a better word as well as seemingly tilted to the left
I could not find a match fake but for comparison look at this Bulgarian fake Gordian II for comparison
I see too much in common in the 'fabric' of the coin not to be suspicious
But that is my nature .......

To be very precise - the reverse is too primitive for Sestertius for the first century, the eye and some letters too. I am from Bulgaria and my eyes look with disbelief - this is my nature!

We are all very well programmed to be very sensitive when comes to face recognition. How else could we pick a face in a crowd?
That ability we all have can be put to good use when it comes to minor details of face recognition on coins.
Especially the eyes. We mainly look at the eyes, when talking to someone.

'Style' was the main tool that antiquarians used 150 years ago for picking fake coins, when combined with lots of experience with genuine coins.
'Fabric' was the other main tool that was used. which can betray the method of manufacture.
Style and fabric are also the main tools used by us when reviewing pictures of coins here in the CCF.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have reviewed about 20 sestertii of Nerva for weight on VCoins. With one exception they are all in reasonably narrow range of 22-25 grams. Against this group of coins, the weight of OP's coin subject of this thread 25% greater.

I also conducted a quick 'acsearch'
I found this sestertius sold by another "reputable" European auction house
I don't like the looks of it at all
The patina looks fake
The fabric ? It screams casting to me
Now I could be completely wrong !
But I really don't mind ....

Weight: 29.21 grams
Diameter: 34 mm

The weight and diameter are not to be taken as definitive evidence of fraud
But combined with the obvious unusual frosty appearance makes the coin very suspicious to me at best !
And once again the eye seems to say something
