This one also was in the lot I bought like ten days ago but finally arrived today. They're out there CoinHunter27!

And yes, that does appear to be a little micro-clip and not damage.

Change the header from 1922 to 1942.

Pass the magnifying glass.

That is really a remarkable specimen. Looks like a pretty good lot you've got yourself into.

Well I'll be darned! Yet another amazing pickup! I appreciate the reassurance. It gets lonely without new mint state doubled die RPM combos around here . I'm curious, if you don't mind me asking, how much did the lot set you back?

Thanks folks, and thanks for the edit Frog as that was too funny as it was!

I seriously doubt you want to know what I paid, but you asked. It was an ebay auction lot, and all 19 of the coins with RPMs were labeled and visible in the photos and all pretty much in some MS condition. I won it at $41 for all 19 coins. The seller also had a 20 coin lot of similar uncirculated coins (all between 1935 and 1945) without the RPMs which I also won for just $23. With shipping I got all 39 coins for $69.50. The second lot without varieties on the labels coughed up 1940-S DDR-003 (or 008 as I think they are the same die), 1941-D DDR-002 which is very strong, and of all things the coin labeled 1937 was a very nice toned BU 1927.

Sounds like a good lot! And yes, I did seriously want to know. Nice mint state examples of this variety can get pricey. I think that was a fair price for the coins you got! Nice pickup bats!

Definitely a fair price on my end, not sure how the seller feels about where that auction ended. That 1942-D/D FS-502 is worth twice what I paid for both lots combined.

I'll bet! Again, great pickups! I look forward to seeing whatever varieties or errors you may pick up in the future!
