I came across this and is definitely different then the others. I was not aware of any bronze in 2000. Does anyone know what I've got here? Thanks so much!

looks plated, Also bronze is almost the same color as copper, the material visible on modern cents.

Cents since mid 1982 contain no bronze and are zinc coated in pure copper. Now, they could be plated by some third party for kicks, but the colouring is probably some form of environmental toning/tarnishing.

p.s. - It's not a good practice to lay coins (especially shiny ones) directly on your skin or hold them in your fingers, with anything other than the coin's edges, as your skin has oils that can transfer very easily to their surface, ruining their value numismatically. Just fyi.

Could be a gold colored clear lacquer or gold plating.
