Need advice before I purchase. Just starting to collect foreign coins. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hard to say. Can't see enough detail on coins to make an intelligent decision.
Question I have is do you have a current collection? And just want to expand?
It is usually best to develop a theme of some sort when collecting. Either pick a country or date range, etc. Something that sparks you interest.

These are all common coins from what I can see. If you are looking for a mix of foreign coins this isn't a bad deal.

eh, it seems a bit steep even if you are getting a lot of BUs. Despite the pictured BU British pennies, New Zealand Pennies, and old Swedish coins, I'd have to say that it is really risky since you just don't know what you're going to get.

Thank you Everyone. I think that I will pass on this one. I usually collect just US coins but since my collection is about 90% complete, I figured that I would start a foreign coin collection.

I'm glad you decided to pass this one up. The coins in it look nice, and fascinating, but for the going price you can do a whole lot better. If you're interested in a ready-made world coin collection you can do one of two things. (or both, no one will count. ) There are some online stores that sell bulk world coins for far more reasonable prices. If you will Email me, I'll help you find some good ones.

You can also wait until you have the required 50 posts for this forum, and head to the I Want to Buy forum at the bottom. There, you can post a listing that you want to buy bulk world coinage, and I will bet you our members stand up to the challenge. Myself, I could probably send you a couple pounds of the stuff easily, and for cheap. Postage is where it gets expensive.

At 17 cents a coin it seems fair. I've bought individual coins from this guy before and had no problems. My only beef is that he doesn't bother leaving feedback.
