Hello someone asked me to check the value of a set of 1944 french notes 1, 2, 5, and 10. One guy I asked suggested rolling them up and using them to light cigars. I thought they may be worth a little more than that. I would say they are average circulation condition.
Are you talking about the square blue ones? If so, these were issued in the trillions (possbily) by the Americans and the British after liberation. There's too many of these flowing around, but if you can find a buyer, you might be able to get a buck or two for all 4.
these notes are listed in the world catalog..and the values are minimal. unless the condition is au or unc. they are also listed in the reference work by Schwan-Boling, WORLD WAR II REMEMBERED. it also gives the population numbers. if further info is required..(I have recently started a complete set in the ngc registry) <<email removed>>
