I have a penny that I'm looking at in my microscope and it's coming up with these weird silver caps to the word United States of America. It starts almost as a weird crack that goes from left to right and then starts to define itself on the letters.I've never seen it and I'm not too sure what it is any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

It's called Split CopperPlating
When the coin was struck, the thin copper plating split exposing the zinc core.
Eventually this will start to rot.
In the future, please show complete photos of both sides of the coin as well
as your area of concern.
