Hi,
This serie is very hard to grade. If we go on an average, how PCGS grade this serie if we compare to ICCS / CCCS? What are there standards?

Thanks

I would recommend to get them graded by anyone really, many were weakly struck and even MS coins can sometimes look like VF TO EF. Unless extremely experienced I wouldn't recommend buying raw MS examples.

Probably the hardest series to grade, with regards to Canadian Coins .
You could send in the same mintstate coin in 5 times and get six different results !
As stated strike is a huge issue as well as eye appeal .
Also the year to year quality within the series varies widely .
Over the years I have purchased numerous examples in AU 55 to 58
holders along with lots of raw coins and seen them grade 62 to 64 .
A knowledgeable numismatist can hit quite a few home runs if they
know their stuff!

Apples to oranges when comparing ICCS to PCGS, especially for KGV 5c.

Probably the one series that shows the grading difference between these two companies the most.

Tough series to grade by photos. But you get to know the look. Strike can be deceptive but unimpaired lustre is key in MS.
