Hello:

I am trying to find information on this coin and hopefully you all can help.

My father was in the USMC and purchased this coin back in 1975/6. It's a mirror finish probably bronze'? not sure.

The edge is rimmed except for a small part that has some markers mark.
They are: a symbol, then 75, the 'P'.

Does anyone have any information?

Thank you,
David

Looks like Franklin Mint, 1975 markings on the edge. From a bit of reading, the P means Proof. They often marked the metal on the edge as well as Bronze or Silver and fineness if silver

Great info from PlumCrazy814. Thanks. I have some Franklin Mint tokens I'm doing some research on. I have 3 Franklin Mint tokens with the same F markings. They did use bronze for some of their tokens so I'd say it's bronze.

Nice piece David!

Check out my most recent post on my Franklin Mint token. First picture bottom left has an F that looks similar to the one on your coin. Unfortunately my camera sucks but you can use it as a reference point.
