I have added a page on "Maximian's name"
http://augustuscoins.com/ed/tetrarc...ansName.html

to my educational web pages

http://augustuscoins.com/ed/

Here is the coin which inspired the page because it has a remarkably long version of his name.
Maximian's-Name--The-Long-Version

Maximian, recognized as Augustus at a mint (Trier) of Constantine.

Very busy obverse legend and an achievement for the die cutter to fit all of it in.

A very good coin to show all of what the die cutter intended. A higher grade coin is required to show this.

Amazing how they were able to get that legend onto that coin. A very skilled die cutter.

With both comments.

Considering that the die cutter was also working with a mirror image and the characters being in reverse, it is quite an achievement.
