Hi Guys,
Looking to see if I can get extra information about this medallion. I have had it now for about 6 years after purchasing it from a flea market. I believe the medallion was to commemorate the listing of Ping An, a large medical insurance company, on the Stock Exchange in 2007. However, I have never been able to confirm this or even find another for sale, etc. Any help in just getting a true reason for its manufacture a true translation, although I have a basic idea, and lastly if anyone has ever come across a specimen or seen one online, other than by myself. Thanks all in advance.

That's what Google translate gave from the COA. Sounds like it's a private minted silver round. I expect it likely sells for the same as any other art round would, spot plus maybe a bit for it being a pretty round.

The Ping An Insurance Group had its IPO in 2007; the 601318 seen on the medal is its ID on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. I agree with you that the medal you have appears to be a commemorative for the company going public / being listed.

I haven't seen one before, but I haven't been looking - I don't collect corporate medals from China. Chinese numismatics has grown in popularity over the last decade+, so there might be an active market for the piece among such collectors - this would likely drive its selling price to $50 USD or beyond. Outside of this group, however, I expect it would sell for $30 to $40 USD.
