Have to admit, I do not believe now that there is a dot.
I turned my macro lens as high as it will go and .....
here is the best I can get out of it.
sorry for the confusion. I really thought there is a dot. there are many round things that look like dots. also the light angle might disturb at times.

here are 3 images of 1947 P7 dot coins I have.
These are certified ICCS. So, unless the TPG is wrong, there should be no grounds for argument
