Another coin I have been hunting forever and never found, is the 1964-D DDO-001. The other day I spotted a seller with not just one, but two of them up at auction with a "make offer." After a bit of negotiating I bought them both. Sadly, the one listed for more money and appeared uncirculated is cleaned. The seller did not call it uncirculated, nor did he mention it was cleaned. The one that is AU was listed as BU. Ah well, the brown one shows the doubling a bit better anyway, but I'll keep the cleaned one until eventually I get an MS grade example.

This knocks off another of the few DDO-001 coins I have been missing.

In the images it's fairly hard to point to a particular thing. It's the overall look that is wrong, and in general noticeable that there are no minor stains or spots even along the inside of the rims. It just looks wrong for a 1964 Lincoln. If I get a chance I'll do some macros that show what it looks like up close where you can see the more polished aspect on the forehead and such.

Nice finds! The first one definitely has the cleaned look but both are nice doubled dies!
