Does anyone looked into this one before ? What do you think?
http://www.mint.ca/royalcanadianmin.../default.htm
It is not pure silver and I think it might have a value just for us Canadians, but not more than that. Your thoughts ?

Always remember in this hobby it is NOT just gold or silver that regulates prices or value. It is supply and demand and Canada and Australia, to name two, are masters at striking limited issues which seem to sell out very quickly and nothing is better than owning a coin of low mintage and another million collectors still want one!!!

Funny you should post this, Abyss. I was on the RCM website looking at the snowy owl due to the posts here and the Loonies definitely caught my eye.

Yes shatsi. It is @ 20.000.I have decided to cancel mine since I didn't like it very much anyway, and they put it in the backorder.
I don't think that they take care of their site very well...since quite a few days ago,if you browse for it it says it is sold out,but if you go to add it to your cart it lets you do it.
I've decided instead to spend more money and buy a couple Australian coins which I like a lot more

The obverse with the Loonie and theOlympic logo looks nice, but I must admit I didn't like Elizabeth II portrait.

I like that coin.I'm trying to get my hands on some maple leafs with hologram as well. I guess I'm not a true collector I just buy coins for their looks.

Mint site says 2004 loonie was sold out not the 2006.

I'm thinking of buying one. Anybody else?

Terry and Garry said on 'where do you live' thread that these UNC loonie is sold only in Canada. I placed an order for a roll online and they didn't say I can't have it shipped to US. Now when I checked on ebay its available for less than $2. Am I missing something here?

I think that the prices you see on ebay are per each coin, not for a roll..funny,i just sent an e-mail to Gary ( because I was reading through the same thread, were do you live) telling him that I could buy them here and send them to whoever wants them in the States.
As you saw,the RCM says that they are available only in Canada, but if they took your order, that's good..who knows, they decided to change the rules maybe.

Yes, in that case I'll rather cancel the loonie roll from the mint and buy it on ebay. I have no use for a roll, one is enought for me.

I just called to cancel the loonie roll and then they're saying that they won't be shipping it out as it can only be shipped to Canada address. I guess we're back to zero. I need the silver loonie and the UNC loonie.
