Gonna need some clarification of what you think is going on here. Looks like every other Alaska State Quarter to me.

I think it's just in how you're interpreting the artist's rendition of a bear's hand. Looks normal to me, and looks just like the high-res images I could find of an alaska quarter, though perhaps a few more dings.

Now that you point it out though, I certainly can see the humor in it, does look a bit like a thumb, though those claws are a dead giveaway

Took a while but I think I see it. Look like a hammer thumb. You know Megan Fox has them? What a shame.

LOL! Funny replies!

Umm, most of the time, if you see a bear with a "Man's Thumb" you'll want to call a Park Ranger and request a Care Flight to take the poor guy to the hospital.

If it happens to be your thumb it's gonna be harder to use your cell phone, but TRY!

I think it's just a little circulation contact damage across the bear's paw, but you may want to take the bear to the hospital as well. That nail bed looks like it might be a little swollen and infected.

I'm glad you posted this. I needed a chuckle this morning!

Welcome
Ya the thum does look odd.
Not sure, there is what they call a
6 clawed bear. I do have one and one with
7 claws. I call them minor Cuds.
Do keep looking though.
