New to forum so please excuse any issues with this post. Wondering what varieties and/or errors are known for this coin. Ive got one with some doubling that I now believe is Machine Doubling not a doubled die. Also appears to have a die clash, or strike through of some kind that has some of the earth from the reverse on ikes chin on the obverse. Plus multiple coins having the talon head, and features from obverse showing through on the reverse.

Die clashes are almost never seen on a bust. that looks like a die gouge

to the Community!

I agree, looks like Machine Doubling on Dollar.

The chin nick looks like a post mint ding. Ikes are big, they take a lot of hits in the wild.

Thank you for your responses. Have held on to that coin for years wondering about the raised blemish on the chin. Not familiar with die gouging, but will look into it. Ther is so much info on these forums. And it is great to be able to have you guys look and comment on coins and answer questions. I dont see any contact marks causing the raised feature on ikes chin, but will look closer. Dont know if the picture shows well enough that it actually runs to the bottom of the chin and off of the chin just a little. Thanks again.

Two dimensional photos are not good for my depth perception.

If this is raised then it may be a die chip or gouge.

After doing some reading on clashes and gouging I believe that a chip or some damage to the die must be the case. Was hoping maybe it wasnt the only one out there so I could get an idea of what it is from somebody looking at a coin just like it. Like you said... 2 dimensional picture isn't the same. Already learned a bunch though. Thanks for your time. I appreciate it.

Wondering if I could get an opinion on these pics too. Taken from two different 71D coins. Strike through, or...?

I am not sure. I would need to see the whole coin to verify his it lines up with an obverse clash. However, others may be able to do it with what you have shown.
