1723 FARTH Hibernia Pattern Farthing, Silver, SP58 PCGS. M. 3.3-Bc.3, W-12500, R.5. The king's nose points between the TI in GRATIA. Approximately 1.5 million Hibernia farthings were struck in copper, but silver examples are rare. They are specimen strikes, intended for presentation instead of circulation. The present piece has light lilac toning with glimpses of ocean-blue and olive-green near the rims. The strike is sharp, and there are no distractions. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society (Heritage, 11/2017), lot 15015. From The Peter Jones M.D. Collection.

An silver pattern farthing came up at a Sydney auction about five years ago. I do not know if it was of the same dies.

If I remember correctly, the estimate was for $500.
