They are one-sided right?
I'd love to have one of these provided they're genuine. Unfortunately here, all you can get are modern fakes.

Awesome looking coins! What's the material? Are they heavy?

nguyen anh tu - What book do you use as a reference? I don't suppose that it is written in english is it? Quote: I'd love to have one of these provided they're genuine. Someone in my coin club is mad keen on Vietnamese coins and travels there regularly; I've bought quite a few early Annamese cash coins off him. These copper coins are normally found with the thick greenish-yellow patina you can see in the pictures. I'm told this is caused by two things: the fact that these coins are most often found buried in funerary urns, sometimes even fused together over time into a solid ball of coins, and once dug up, they're often sold in the street markets of Vietnam where many of the sellers leave them sitting around in bowls, exposed to the tropical sun and monsoon rains.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

This is not a sale, and we are not authenticators. I think it's important to stay objective to the thread since a discussion like this could be misinterpreted

KurtS - Maybe I didn't say it succinctly, but my comment was made in response to the statement about modern counterfeits. These coins are readily available at reasonable prices: http://www.vcoins.com/ancient/ecin/...architem.aspI would truly be surprised if they were being counterfeited in large amounts for the purpose of deceiving collectors. Having said that, obviously none of my comments were made with the intent of casting dispersions on the authenticity of the originally posted coins.
