Metalman Pillar of the Community United States 7123 Posts	Posted 02/18/2006 5:11 pm Hi Shatsi Lincoln cents develope Black spots for several different reasons, this one is a little hard for me to see to be positive, but it does not look like a carbon spot to me, more like some kind of contaminate particle that has stuck and grown on the coin. My pics and scans aren't anywhere near as good as this 09-VDB. I'm not a Lincoln Penny expert, but if someone put a gun to my head and forced me to grade it, I'd say mid-60s; I'd probably go for MS-65. Fred Report this Post to the Staff
