Recently, I had the pleasure to view the traveling art exhibit from Afghanistan, which included a number of Greco-Bactrian artifacts and incredible gold work.
While not exactly a numismatic show, there were several coins and other objects that would merit interest by collectors here.

Many of these objects were uncovered in the vicinity of Ai Khanum, a city founded in the aftermath of Alexander the Great's conquest of Bactria around 328 BCE.
The exhibit displayed an intriguing mix of cultural influences from Greece and Asia.

Later artifacts from a burial at Tillya Tepe, representing a nomadic culture just as rich in artistry and metallurgical expertise.
I have visited many museums over the years, yet never been so impressed by the gold work as I saw there. Here are just a few of the objects:

Amazing, thanks for sharing!
Do you know how often this exhibit travels? I'd like to know if it will come anywhere near me soon.
