Looking for some help grading this 1878-S Morgan.
Would like to know how the spots on this one detract from the grade.
Thanks in advance!

What kinda of spots are those? Did you try acetone soak?
Ignoring the spots for now and not seeing any luster, I think this coin is AU55.

Thanks NE, I have not tried acetone yet. I'm not sure about the spots, but it looks like corrosion at higher mag, but doesn't penetrate. The spots are only on the obverse, so it looks like something splashed on the coin at some point.
May try an acetone soak--see what happens.
Much obliged!

MS-63. Looks like a good candidate for a dip in E-Z-Est.

Thanks everyone for the feedback here and grading. I posted this and another Morgan yesterday. This one doesn't have the luster of the first, so I wasn't surprised at the AU ratings. Thanks!
