Good Afternoon, I am trying to find some Clear, Acid-Free, Non-PVC plastic sheeting/film which is rigid but still can be cut with scissors to create some new plastic coin surface protector inserts for my DANSCO Album Pages. I have been to Office Depot, Staples, and Michaels with no success. I believe Acetate Sheeting would serve as a good substitute for the original DANSCO Album Page inserts; however, what type of business would sell the Acetate sheeting/film?

Hi Bud250r. Thank you for your response. Do you happen to know if all Acetate Sheeting is PVC and Acid Free? Also, I am not exactly sure how thick (mils) the Acetate Sheeting would need to be? I think it takes 10 mils to equal .01 inches of thickness. I figure the DANSCO Album Page Plastic Sleeve inserts are somewhere between 20 mils to 30 mils thickness.

Well 4 mil is 1 tenth of a millimeter (.01mm)

10 Mil is .25mm (yes .01in)
20 mil is .51mm
30 Mil is .76mm

https://www.archivalmethods.com/

I ordered some archival bags from this company to protect a John Mercanti lithograph I acquired. Good prices and very fast shipping from Buffalo, NY. They will have something you need, if not exactly what you're looking for.
