Just picked this up at the coin dealer where I started collecting/accumulating....

My guess would be VG details ED - supposedly sea salvage, and it looks like it.
Any suggestions on condition and the value I should put on it?

The corrosion pattern is quite similar to that caused by extended sea water immersion.

It would have at least doubled the value for equivalent grade, if some provable record of sea salvage could be provided with the coin.
Without that sort of certification, it has to be graded as a 'comments - corrosion' coin.
