Friend of mine has this coin and was wondering if he should get it graded. Thank goodness it's a screw on bezel.

Unfortunately, this type of bezel can also damage the rim.

Regardless of the bezel, it's not worth more than melt unfortunately. It needs to be MS to have any value over melt these days. Don't get it graded anywhere. It guides for slightly over melt but unless you got really lucky somewhere, it's not going to sell over by any appreciable amount.

Unfortunately, that one looks like melt value, the good news is that it is a very nice time for melt.

I would skip the grading, you may be able to get slightly more for it on ebay, probably not too much. There are not many listed on ebay right now, so it might present an opportunity in the $900 or less price range, assuming no damage from bezel. Put the money aside and buy a nice MS one when gold prices come down again.

Otherwise, makes a nice placeholder in collection, that can always be changed out at a later date.

Probably not worth getting graded in this condition.

Thanks guys for the info. I was kinda figuring it wasn't worth grading after taking pics. It looks so nice in hand, but that could be the gold factor. Thanks again.
