Help For Roman Provincial Coin - Coin Community Forum

Ruger9a Valued Member United States 325 Posts	Posted 03/13/2021 12:14 pm I have this Roman Provincial coin that I haven't been able to find on Wildwinds. It is 30mm and weighs in at 14.9 grams. I know it's Roman colony coin and can make out the letters MET R on the reverse right hand side of the coin as well as some lettering on the obverse. Any help is much appreciated. iulius Valued Member Bulgaria 141 Posts	Posted 03/13/2021 4:47 pm The head does look like ELAGABALUS, but in IMP C M AVR it is unlikely to be a CARACALLA. For the city - if at the bottom of the reverse it says SID is SIDON, if it says COL, COLO, COLON - the city maybe is Tyre, the truth is somewhere out there in Phoenicia Report this Post to the Staff
