Hello! Just wanted to post my nicest circulated coin I bought recently and am looking forward to getting graded as well! Just wanted to show it off and curious as to what you all think about the condition as well.

Why do you want to get it graded? The folks on here will give you a good idea what you have. It won't make XF (I think VF-30 or 30+)and I hope all the faint lines I see are on the mylar. I don't think that it's worth getting graded .. too much cost vs worth.

Thanks for your opinion! I believe the faint lines you see are on the flip however I haven't removed it myself.. I assumed it would get the XF personally however I am far from a professional.

Nice coin, probably around a vf35. There might be an old cleaning on that coin, but otherwise looks good.
Grading is a tough call on ~$100 coins. Sale price is not really increased by having it graded, but it can make it easier to sell. Especially, if you are going mass market (ebay, etc...) for mint state coins, certain varities or selling online. Experienced buyers can usually pick out the good stuff without it being graded, but novice collectors like the idea of them being graded.
Personally, if I had the choice of 2 coins that were identical for the same price, I would take the graded one. I might pay a slight premium if I was building a PCGS registry set, assuming cheaper than grading myself.
Grading can be relatively expensive, if you do it, maybe look at a bulk ICCS submission (100+ coins), I'll average around a cost of $9.00 per coin on my recent submission. My end game is to make the collection easier to sell when the time comes. It increases the cost of those coins, but it should save a lot of time selling at the price I'm going for.
For your coin, I would skip grading, unless part of bulk submission. Vickie quarters are very popular and sell quickly at market price. I don't think this one would have any problems selling ungraded.

Thanks for your reply purelywasted! I may submit it later on in a bulk order and I appreciate your evaluation as well. I almost want to even more now however simply because I haven't done it before and am curious of the results! I agree though it doesn't seem feesable unless submitted in bulk.

ICCS would likely grade it VF-30. PCGS would no doubt call it EF-40, but possibly detail it depending on if there is any perceptible cleaning. I'd agree that value is marginal for grading, but if you feel like submitting it then go ahead. ICCS would be the way to go IMHO. Even if you do it as a regular sub for $12 in with a group of others it won't be too bad. Sometimes it's just nice to have it in a flip or slab. :)

Thanks levaril! I appreciate your opinion and I just may send a few submissions with ICCS when I get some better condition coins.

I still find it frustrating how these grading services can operate using different grading standards. But alas, this is the world we live in in 2021. Add this to the list of other , perhaps more important frustrations....
