However, I can tell you that the Freemason brotherhood is extremely steeped in symbols. I think I am correct in saying that "the first night you were a Mason" means the night the Mason was 'raised' from apprentice to full Master Mason. They go through a very detailed ritual including being 'killed' and 'raised' from death. This coin tells me that there is some part of the ceremony where the Master is robbed, and therefore pennyless. The initiation is based on happenings from the Bible. I have no idea if my ramblings have helped or not. Hopefully they did, though! Report this Post to the Staff
