It Goes around the whole Reverse Side but it skips over and in and out of lettering and Date? I have 8 Different States the same wondering what it is Called and are they worth keeping

It looks like damage from a Coin Wrapping Machine. This coin could have been the end coin in the roll and the crimping jaws on the machine made contact with the coin as it rotated.

I was thinking that. But if it did why did it skip over and then in and out of lettering and Date ? Instead of going through them?

The devices in this area are incuse, so they are below the surrounding surface. The scratch is on the highest area, with the letters and digits too deep for the scratch to have damaged. If this had been regular relief devices, the scratch would (most likely) have been just on the tops of the letters and digits.
