Perth Mint - While The Perth Mint is a world-renowned gold refiner and mint, silver is a precious metal that's just as close to our hearts. It's found in large quantities throughout our operations from semi-pure dore bars we refine on behalf of industry clients, to 1,000oz and 100oz pure silver bars backing depository customer accounts, and a range of finished coins and smaller bars popular with investors and collectors worldwide. This clip, representing a typical day in our production facilities, demonstrates our working inventory of silver in a variety of additional formats, including rolls, strips and coin blanks. With the capacity to refine in excess of 900 tonnes of silver per annum, producing more than 15.7 million ounces of minted products in FY 19/20, and currently storing almost 40 million ounces for depository clients, The Perth Mint is the home of silver in Australia.
