Marin and O'Neill siggys. Nice bold autographs. The question is " are they autopens? ", well I sure hope not.

The four leading zeros make it a bit more interesting.

Dual autographs are more desireable.

They look pretty authentic to me. Then again, I've never seen anything like that before... neat though.

Tim,

Here's a link:

http://www.theworldofstuff.com/curr...ographs.html

ebay usually has a few examples. I've seen them from all kinds of bills and all sorts of series.

Hmm, my last few posts are all about oddities. I posted a coin die in Modern Coins and just today I received an irradiated dime. It's from The Museum of Atomic Energy. It's a nice Cold War trinket.

Wow, that was a really interesting read! I had no idea you could just up and mail the current Treasurer or Secretary of the Treasury and ask for an autograph. How cool.

And to finally answer your question, no, they don't quite look like autopens. If they were, would they really be in different colors? That doesn't seem to make much sense to me.

Tim,

I got Marins siggy first and took a chance on O'Neill. I had to decide whether to send the bill with Marins siggy to O'Neill. It could have been ignored or lost and I'd have no siggys. Same bill mailed twice.

thanks Jbuck,

My collection is....well.....unfocused. Something catches my eye and I buy it. I've given away Morgans and SAEs as wedding or christening gifts. This results in large holes my array of coins and stuff. When I try to bring some order to the mess I find things still in envelopes or packages. It's always a surprise since I don't recall buying some things. Any organized collecter would shudder at my nonexistant catolaging method.

Everyone has their own method, so do whatever you want as long as you are interested in it! In my opinion, there is no wrong way to collect!
