Here's another index to a topical set of classic era US commemorative coins (1892-54) that fit the topic or theme of "Coins Depicting the Sun" over in the "Post Your..." forum area. I came up with 11 different coin types that include either a rising or setting sun or one that is hanging out midday. Has my list left off a coin that should be included? Let me know below!

I don't present any groundbreaking discussions in these posts, but you may be surprised to learn that you've missed the inclusion of the sun on one or two of these coins as it can sometimes be small or surprisingly subtle.

1. 1915-S Panama-Pacific International Exposition
2. 1918 Illinois Statehood Centennial
3. 1926 American Independence Sesquicentennial, Gold $2.50
4. 1926-39 Oregon Trail Memorial
5. 1935-39 Arkansas Statehood Centennial
6. 1934-38 Daniel Boone Bicentennial
7. 1936 New Sweden - Delaware Tercentenary
8. 1936-D Rhode Island and Providence Plantations Tercentenary
9. 1936 Robinson-Arkansas Statehood Centennial
10. 1936 York County Tercentenary
11. 1936 US-PI Philippines Commonwealth 50 Centavos

As I've stated in my previous Index posts, there is quite a variety of world coins on display in the target thread - this time with "sun coins" - I encourage you to scroll around a bit after you check out one or more of my US commemorative posts!

Nice commems.

One that surprised me a bit is the 1936 Delaware Tercentenary half. Reviewing this coin again after your post its obvious that the suns rays are shining through the obverse cloud. Somehow my brain had always associated those rays with rain!
