1965 Nickel Large Beads - Attached Vs Detached Jewel

RJH New Member Canada 4 Posts	Posted 04/19/2021 11:06 am Hello. I recently purchased this 1965 Large Beads nickel. It has some unfortunate circular scratching on the obverse but it did allow me to obtain this variety with a bit less cost. What I am trying to determine is whether the jewel is attached or detached. I think it's attached but would really appreciate any thoughts from the community. The seller sold it as detached. Thank you. Report this Post to the Staff

Nickel picker Valued Member Canada 57 Posts	Posted 06/18/2021 8:45 pm The scratches on it are from a coin roller. If its pushed too hard onto the end roll crimper you get " the rings of death" as for the jewel, I have no idea so I wont even try to evaluate that. Report this Post to the Staff
