Hey hey diggers!
Great to be back out in the fields once again!
Absolutely great conditions for exploring and finding...I hope my good luck continues.
I recently found this little ole gem down by a river in really old area. My second c/s this spring so I'm jazzed about my growing collection!
So, what I can tell you...it says T GOODMAN
Stamped into a smooth uniface planchet( no sign of a host coin)
Weighs in at 4.82g and measures +/- 28 mm
Copper alloy with dirt and corrosion lol
Typical half penny size although light weight
I know these mavericks are common but I'll keep looking and finding until I get one that will be better well known.
I've found a couple of references to a D and an I Goodman on an online database of catalogued counterstamps. I'm just getting closer!
So until next...you'll see me down by the river looking for the big one!
