In person I can see a orange/red/yellow hue depending on angle..

Most likely yes. The golden hue is rather common on these shield cents. I assume they're more prone to such toning based on their material makeup.

I like the color!

If you wish to stop further toning to brown,
it needs to be in a very close fitting airtight hard clear acrylic capsule.
You still will be able to get a very small capsule into a 2x2 flip with a large crown sized window, and thus into a 20 pocket coin album.

In decades time, nice eye appeal will increase relative value compared to a high MS brown shield Cent.
