I bought a lot of about 200 Indian coins. I have found some are 200 yrs old, but have one that is about 2200 yrs old. I have identified most at this point, but left with several unidentified. Any help is much appreciated. Here is the most obscure one:

To aid identification, please post the maximum diameter in mm and the weight to the nearest tenth of a gram.

My initial guess would be a coin of the Kangra Rajas, something similar to

Amazing find! How did you know that? Thank you for sharing your experience. I will do a bit more research before I have better confidence which one this is.

Glad to be able to help. From some prior experience, the large "lumps" are indicative of the Kangra coins. Not many others have this kind of pattern, though some Pala and Pratihara coins also have largish solid areas.

Tye 76. Thank you again. I have others. I wonder if each should have their own post or I continue here...

Here is another one. I could find no attribution, but the closest I could find is Bombay Malabar Const 1790, size of fanam or putlun. 0.4g.

Likely a Travancore chuckram, where on one side only the dots appear on the flan.

It's good practice here to start a new thread for each coin, to state the metal, and to simply state the diameter in mm rather than using a scale (the diameter is unclear in the photos).
