Hi Group,

I have been collecting coins since the 1970's, but got away from it for a couple of decades. I got back into it seriously in the last 18 months.

A few months ago I was given an old jar of pennies.

I am not sure what to make of this poor Lincoln. I have seen many squeeze jobs over the years, and that was my first impression. But it is missing a lot of the edge compression and other giveaways. I keep looking at this every week or so, and I decided today to ask for the Community's opinions.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated. I apologize for so many pics, but I wanted to be thorough.

Thanks,
Old Hare

The fact that the marks are incuse indicates that is was a vise job plus
it looks like it was scraped with a file.
Looks like it is copper so it has a little value over face.
