Inferno New Member United Kingdom 6 Posts	Posted 05/15/2021 08:12 am Good morning, Anyone have a source for replacement capsules for the 2020 and 2021 UHR Peace silver dollars? The capsules that the 2020 and 2021 Peace SD were shipped in are too tall to fit into my Lighthouse trays cleanly. However, the capsules for the 2008 and 2010 high relief coins do fit nicely. I'm thinking of swapping the 2020 and 2021 into shorter capsules. Any leads or ideas are appreciated! Edited by Inferno 05/15/2021 08:14 am Report this Post to the Staff

commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 12259 Posts	Posted 05/17/2021 7:41 pm I'm not aware of a third-party manufacturer of 36 mm capsules that are deep enough for the R C M's UHR silver dollars. Have you looked at ebay to see if someone is selling any gently used holders for the 2008/2010 coins? Sometimes these capsules become available after a coin is graded and encapsulated by a third-party grading service. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved. I have not seen published specs for the 2020 and 2021 UHR Peace SDs. Will those coins fit into the 2008/2010 RCM capsules? FYI, you encountered one example where the RCM "embellished" and UHR coins do not fit into standard Lighthouse trays along with the other coins in the set. Report this Post to the Staff

Just eyeballing the 2008 and 2010 coins with the 2020 and 2021 from an equal baseline, I think the 2008 & 2010 coins are actually slightly taller in a shorter capsule. The 2008 and 2010 fit inside my Lighthouse trays without issue, but the inside of the Lighthouse tray's (clear) cover presses down on the 2020 & 2021 SD coins when they are stuffed in there. I don't like it...I think I'll keep looking/begging for some leftover 2008/2010 capsules. Cheers. Report this Post to the Staff
