Ideally, I'd like to add some round sticker labels to the tops since I currently have them labeled with masking tape on the sides of the tube, which isn't visible in a box, but all the stickers I have seen used look really hard to remove and seem like they leave behind gross residue on the tops of the tubes if you try to replace them. Any good suggestions along with a link to buy them would be great!

Check a dollar store. Some sell a package of round and different colors to use for yard sales. Something like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/163216824080?etmp=no

I use scotch tape on my tubes. first I type out what I want in small font on a sheet of paper, making sure that the label I create is not as wide as the tape.
I then cut it out making sure to keep the width smaller than the tape. Center the label face down on the tape then attach it to the tube.
One sheet of paper and a roll of tape can create quite a few labels if planned right.
And its fairly easy to remove since the tape is not actually stuck to the tube where the label is.
Takes a little patients but works quite well for me.

I used Avery removable labels for my floppy disks in the way back. They worked great. So great that I had the office manager buy me a what turned out to be a lifetime supply back in the late 1990s. Little did I know that the floppies would be useless once we starting burning CDs.

I still have those labels and have cut them to size for so many different things over the years. Easy to remove, with no residue.

They still make them...

@John1 That is the look I'm going for, but I am very fastidious about residue, so I want to make sure whatever I use is archival and won't be permanently stuck to the tube.

@Hallor Bill Scotch tape is probably the single worst offender when it comes to being forever stuck to stuff. Plus it's not acid free, so I try to avoid it whenever possible.

@jbuck that sounds like it could be good! I will check them out :)

I use tiny Avery rectangles sold at Office Max or Staples. Work fine over the years.
