Hi can you guys help me with this coin/jeton I cant seem to figure out what type of coin this is, if you guys can give a name I would be gratefull

If the first photo is rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise you can see the legend begins with + AVE ... (beginning of AVE MARIA etc)
I think this makes it a counting token, my guess would be French or nearby, late 15th to 16th c.
There are some others out here who are better at identifying these, and I'm sure will help more.
